Are 175 Pound Crossbows Replacing 150 Lbs Models?

What do you think? There are now more 175 pound crossbows on the market than there have ever been. I know that 150 pound crossbows dominate the market right now, but are the 175 pound crossbows taking over? If they are here to stay, do you think that there is much of a difference? I can tell you from personal experience, that there is most definitely a difference, but I don't think that it is as much as you would think. Yes, it is 25 pounds more that is added to the draw weight, but if you use a rope cocking device then there is only a 12-½ pound difference. I think that the tradeoff between a slightly higher draw weight and more power is a no brainer.175 pound crossbows will not take over the 150 pound market, but i do think that they will share it. The technology has advanced by leaps and bounds in just the past few years. So, what this means to you is that you can get better overall performance from a new smaller 175 pound recurve crossbow, than many larger older compound and recurve crossbows. I performed a test with an older 225 pound recurve crossbow and compared it to a new 175 pound crossbow. Lo and behold the new 175 pounder came back rated faster at 245 feet per second as opposed to the older recurve that was shooting at 231. So what are your thoughts?
