Crossbow scopes come in a few different shapes and sizes. Besides a crossbow scope there are usually two items you need to: 2 scope rings. Keep in my scope rings and a real to mount these scopes onto. There are also three types of scope rails that need to be match with the rings: Weaver rail, dovetail rail and the Picatinny rail. The Weaver and Picatinny rails are 7/8 in. in width and the dovetail rails are 3/ in width. The only other item you will need is a scope. Choosing a crossbow scope for your specific cause is up to you.
The first step is to slide both the front match-grade and back match-grade rings into the rail of the hunting crossbows, where the scope would have to be installed. Screw the rings securely into the rail as they will ensure that the scope will be stable later on.
Inside the ring, you will notice that there are cushion tapes. They are there to protect the finishing of the scope and so that it will not turn.
Take the scope and place it on the ring bed. You can also try moving the scope forward and backward to see how it would roll in those directions once you try to adjust them. You can then place the upper portion of the ring set on top of the scope that you’ve just installed. Like the ones that you’ve placed before, it also has a front and back rings. Screw both ring sets in order to finally fix the scope in position.
Once the match-grade rings and the scope are fixed, you can do some quick check by first looking at its aim. Be sure that the cross-hair of the scope and the line of the bow are perfectly aligned with one another. If that isn't the case, then you will have to adjust it either upward, downward, to the left, or to the right, depending on how you see the necessary adjustments.
