PSE is one of those companies. For over 30 years they have been pushing the limits in what people think a compound bow can do. Known for precision, speed, and overall quality, PSE is once again releasing their new compound bows of 2016; the PSE Bow Madness 34. The Bow Madness series has been one of PSE's most popular over the past few years. Inspired by the Drury family TV series Bow Madness, this is one of the top performing bows of 2016 for sure. [caption id="attachment_6182" align="alignright" width="195"]PSE Bow Madness 34 PSE Bow Madness 34[/caption] Initially most people want to get an idea for the speed of a bow right off the bat. The PSE Bow Madness 34 is one of the fastest compound bows on the market registering arrow speeds of 342 feet per second. Impressive arrow speed like this is due to the extreme cam design engineers used. Using a 60 pound draw weight and still affording shooters an 80% let off this feat is impressive. On the flip slide, aggressive cams like these sometimes cause a rough draw which might be an issue. PSE touts the smooth draw of this bow, but it might be one you want to shoot before purchase. Like many bows these days the PSE Bow Madness 34 is built with some adaptability built in. It comes with adjustable draw lengths ranging from 24 1/2 inches to 30 1/2 inches. With adaptability like this it can fit a range of shooters perfectly and actually grow with a young adult as they mature. In addition to the adaptable draw length, the Bow Madness 34 also allows for adjustable draw weight. With a maximum draw weight of 60 pounds each limb bolt can turn up to 12 times. In most cases bows are built with a 10 pound range. Thus, the Bow Madness has a shooting range of 50 pounds to 60 pounds. This bow measures in at an average size. The 34 1/4 inch length from axle to axle makes it about average, maybe even a bit on the large end. Also, its mass weight of 4.1 pounds overall is considered average as compared to other compound bows. After its all totaled the specs on the PSE Bow Madness 34 equal a rock solid bow. When you add the PSE reputation to the bow's speed, adaptability, and size, you know you are getting into one of the top new compound bows of 2016. NEXT: COMPANY SPOTLIGHT: PSE ARCHERY
