There is a saying in the world that goes, “the only thing constant in the world is change”. This can be applied to many things in life. Among them are weapons which have been improved throughout the years. People have been striving to upgrade their weapons ever since man first learned to wield them. Even today, man is still trying to achieve the perfect weapon. The improvement of technology has lead to massive changes in the field of weaponry. For example, the
2013 PSE TAC Elite Crossbow Series is now fully integrated compared to its predecessor known as the PSE Tac-15i. The design and the looks have been fully revamped to fit the level of technology which the year 2013 brings.
The Original
The
PSE Tac-15i is among the best crossbows that were released in 2012. It has a rail-less design which increases the string life. The rail-less design also reduces the friction experienced by the arrow thus increasing the speed and power of the arrow. It has a very sturdy and stable design which helps in shooing at
crossbow targets at long distances. Other features include ergonomically designed handles and an anti-dry fire mechanism.
The Upgrade
Being one of PSE’s premier grade crossbows, the PSE Tac-15i has left a great mark on the history of crossbows. The 2013 model of the PSE TAC Elite Crossbow Series faces a large hurdle in order to be accepted as the new face of PSE crossbows. Well, good thing that it comes fully packed with new and improved features that will surely make this new model stand out among the rest.

The first upgrade that can be noticed is with the design. The original design of the TAC-15i was used and incorporated with better materials to make it more durable, sturdy, and stable. Thicker materials were used to make the crossbow more accurate and more powerful. The better materials however increased the weight by 2 pounds which is not much considering the advantages of the trade-off. The power has been increased to 405-395 fps while the kinetic energy has also been increased to 155ft-lbs. The second upgrade is to the stock and scope. The fully-adjustable stock gives more options for crossbow users to hunt at their own preferences. The scope was also developed and changed to be more accurate at farther distances. The third and final upgrade is the integration of the trigger, stock, and grip onto the barrel. This upgrade makes it possible for the crossbow to perform similarly with the TAC Ordnance crossbows.
A revolution in both crossbows and technology, the 2013 PSE TAC Elite Crossbow is sure to change the gameplay of the sport. A technological marvel, the 2013 model will see bright days ahead of itself and it will be a long time before it is outclassed by other crossbows.
