Since the Spirit archery bow came out, it has only been available in a right handed version. This was okay at first because there are generally more right handed shooters then there are left handed shooters. Once beginners and intermediate shooters caught wind of the specs and performance of the Spirit, we started getting requests for different limb lengths, poundages, and those elusive
left-handed archery bows. You spoke, and we listened.
Pre-Order Your Spirit 66'' Archery Bow Today
You can pre-order your
Spirit 66'' takedown recurve bow today. They are due to arrive on August 27, 2015, so we are just over a week away from getting them in. You can get this bow in both right, and left handed configurations. It comes in 22, 26, 30, and 34 pound versions to meet most any shooting needs.
You can expect the same durable construction that was offered by the 62'' Spirit. The only thing that is different, is the availability of either right or left handed bows, and the slightly longer limbs. The speed still hovers around the 150 FPS mark, and the riser comes with all of the prefabricated holes that you would need to add your archery accessories. There are holes for the stabilizer, arrow rest, and a sight. Here at the Woods Archery Range we prefer to keep it simple. We only install a nocking point on the Spirit and an arrow rest, but the holes are there if you choose to/want to add something to them.
Why Change The Original Spirit Takedown Bow?
There were a few reasons that we chose to add a 66'' version of the spirit archery bow. The first is that [
generally] the longer
the bow, the more balanced it is going to be for the shooter. This is of particular importance for our taller shooters. The 66''
Spirit will also reduce some of the string pinch that is commonly associated with shorter bows (if you have a longer draw length).
The other great thing about the new bows that we purchased is their interchangeability. You can place the 66'' limbs on the 62'''s riser. All you would need to do is replace the limbs and add them to the riser. This means that you could potentially have two different shooting experiences from the same bow.
Feel free to send an email to sales@thecrossbowstore.com if you have any questions regarding the new Spirit archery bows. Pre-orders are available now. First come, first served.
